Show your support for USDA Rural Development by signing the pledge!

USDA Rural Development Water and Environmental Programs has consistently supported rural communities in completing necessary upgrades to their water and wastewater facilities.

WEP is instrumental in helping rural America maintain affordable water access for all rural people, and it is imperative that Rural Water’s voice and priorities are heard within the Halls of Congress and within our nation’s leadership. Through our combined thousands of rural leaders from every state, we can ensure Congress and the Trump Administration know that WEP is the trusted partner for rural America and must be maintained.

Your Voice in Washington, DC

MRWA Members make their voices heard in Washington through our vigorous ongoing efforts to raise the profile of rural water by keeping our elected officials posted on our evolving industry issues. We are currently working with Congress on supply chain delays, regulatory impact, PFAS legislation, the evolving LCR (Lead and Copper Rule), and much more.

In February, MRWA will join with our affiliates throughout the country for our annual rally in Washington DC. We will meet with the members of Maryland’s congressional team to discuss rural water industry challenges and to ensure the continuation of critical funding through the SDWA and CWA. If you are a system that has been helped by MRWA this year, please send us a letter from your system describing that assistance. We pass these important examples of “MRWA at work” to our members of Congress to help illustrate our impact on rural Maryland.
