WEP is instrumental in helping rural America maintain affordable water access for all rural people, and it is imperative that Rural Water’s voice and priorities are heard within the Halls of Congress and within our nation’s leadership. Through our combined thousands of rural leaders from every state, we can ensure Congress and the Trump Administration know that WEP is the trusted partner for rural America and must be maintained.

Operator Licensing Process Change from MDE

From the WWSO Board:

“Maryland’s Board of Waterworks and Waste Systems Operators (WWSO) certifies operators within the drinking water/wastewater/industrial wastewater sectors.

We are changing our application process to improve all licensing activities (payments, applications, exam registrations, status inquiries, etc.).

The new processing format is called ACROSS, an acronym that stands for Account Representative – One Stop Shop.  One person will process all applications, regardless of the type (i.e., operator in training, renewals, exams, education/experience substitutes, etc.)

See attachment for details.  Information can also be accessed on our WWSO website under the “Latest News, Updates & Developments” section near the top of the page.
